Times are a changing!

So exciting - 21 weeks pregnant with baby number 4!

At 18, I thought the gypsy was crazy that stopped me in the street and told me I was going to have four children - even  5 years ago having 2 more seemed out of the question - but now it's the most natural and exciting thing to happen.

Even better was the scan last week which discovered the latest addition to the North / Day clan is going to be a girl.  After 3 boys, I would have been happy with another boy, but I so wanted a girl.  I want to experience all the mother / daughter things from a mother's perspective.  I want to play dolls and dolls houses, I want someone to dress up, I want someone to whisper little secrets to.

My boys are amazing - they make me so proud as I see them grow up. James is so responsible, Robert is so caring, and Ben is just a little cuddly sweety, but I feel a little girl will add a whole new dynamic to our family.  I am the only female in our close family, so to have someone else to develop an alliance with is a  gift.

Obviously, the coming months and years are not going to be without some major challenges, but I hope to document some of our experiences here so that my children can look back in years to come and remember the good, the bad and the funny.
